It's a real honour to be recognised alongside so many talented businesses and individuals working across Bristol's property and design industry. Having returned to Bristol in 2024 and relocated Khaya Studio here, this recognition feels particularly special. I've been keen to become part of the city's creative community and build a studio known for thoughtful, beautifully considered residential interiors.

A little about Khaya Studio

Founded in 2020, Khaya Studio is an independent interior design studio based in Bristol, working with private clients across Bristol, Bath, Somerset and the surrounding areas.

I specialise in creating elegant, characterful homes that balance timeless design with contemporary living. My approach is rooted in understanding the architecture of each property and, just as importantly, the people who live there. Whether I'm working on a Victorian townhouse, a country farmhouse, a period coach house or a contemporary new build, I believe every home deserves a design response that feels considered, personal and entirely its own.

Alongside interior design, I offer a fully project-managed service, guiding clients from the initial design concepts through to sourcing, procurement, coordination of trades and final installation. I love being involved in the entire process and seeing a scheme come together, knowing that every detail has been carefully considered.

A special milestone for the studio

Running an independent design business is incredibly rewarding, but it also takes a great deal of hard work, dedication and belief in what you do. From developing design concepts and managing complex projects to building relationships with trusted local suppliers and craftspeople, there is so much that happens behind the scenes.

To have that work recognised through the Bristol Property Awards is a wonderful milestone and encouragement to keep pushing the studio forward.

I'm incredibly grateful to my clients for trusting me with their homes and allowing me the creative freedom to do what I love. I'm equally thankful to the talented tradespeople, suppliers and collaborators who help bring each project to life. None of it happens in isolation, and I'm very fortunate to work with such a wonderful network of people.

Celebrating Bristol's property and design community

The Bristol Property Awards celebrate the businesses and individuals helping to shape the city's property sector, recognising excellence across residential and commercial property, architecture, design and development.

It's fantastic to see such a diverse and talented industry celebrated, and I'm proud that Khaya Studio is part of Bristol's growing design community.

The awards ceremony takes place on 27 November 2026 at Ashton Gate Stadium, and I'm very much looking forward to celebrating with fellow finalists.

For now, I'm simply feeling very grateful and rather excited!
