St George House, Bristol
The St George house was a project with a fairly restricted budget which we needed to maximise to transform the space. Structural changes were kept to a minimum, moving one doorway and removing one wall.
The property had been stripped of character and charm so as an Interior Designer, the priority was to restore this to the Victorian home. Old chipboard flooring was removed and replaced with reclaimed timber flooring from a local reclamation yard. Reclaimed boards have a more interesting grain and richer colour which deepens over time. Not only were they aesthetically more pleasing, they are the environmentally friendly solution, particularly when using a local salvage yard.
The vintage theme continued with the furniture sourcing - in the dining area a lovely big extendable Gplan dining table, Ercol's windsor quaker dining chairs and an old church pew. The livingroom was completed with an elegant collection of vintage finds and a large velvet sofa. Feature walls were created to balance the proportions of each room and mirrors radiate light around the space.

Roath Park House, Cardiff
The Roath Park house was a beautiful period property recently extended, but without thought as to how the spaces would be used once complete. The clients needed our expertise to make the spaces more functional for their lifestyles, and to bring personality and humour into the home.
The period properties in this area are exceedingly long and can therefore feel rather like a corridor. This problem was addressed by interjecting the long hallway with an entrance area defined by a rug, artwork and sideboard. This also created a transition from the busy outside world to the calm and welcoming sanctuary of home. Life was restored into the 'back room' by transforming the space into a gym and laundry room - stylishly balancing form and function. And the cold paved back garden was converted into a green oasis, ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining friends and family.
A wonderful selection of artwork, objects and furniture were curated to give the home personality and to aid in bridging the gap between 1920 and 2020. The aim was to respect the history of the home, whilst also enabling the new owners to feel it incorporated their own personalities. Spaces were kept light and airy - avoiding visually heavier pieces of furniture and fabric. Instead, each room feels wonderfully bright and furniture sits delicately in its new charming surroundings.
Farnham House, Surrey
The Farnham project is an elegant and refined collection of spaces. Flooded with natural light, they draw you in and lure one into a state of tranquility and comfort.
The colour palettes are restrained and tonal - shades are carefully layered and texture gives the spaces added depth.
The kitchen is delightfully indulgent, one which would keep any chef more than content. Brushed stainless steel sends light dancing around the room and grey washed cabinetry catches this in it's shimmering, tactile grain.
Bathrooms are spa-like and serene, stepping into the space one can feel the troubles of the day instantly washed away.

Blossom Drive House, Lisvane
This turn-key project included full design & project management from start to finish. The family home was redecorated throughout including walls, woodwork & UPVC windows; it received new carpeting throughout, new window treatments, new lighting, new fireplace, new bifold doors, new furniture and a few finishing accessories.
The clients approached us with a fairly open brief saying that the house hadn't been touched in 30 years and so they wanted to freshen it up and stay in the area rather than selling and buying something new. They weren't too sure about what they wanted and so after some discussion we realised that they enjoyed travelling the world, seeing different cultures and staying in interesting hotels. With this in mind we formulated an overarching concept of creating a home that was inviting and relaxing as well as sophisticated and cultured.
We kept the dining and living rooms in neutral tones, adding splashes of mustard yellow to give warmth and delight. Texture was brought in through the inclusion of walnut woods, marble, brass, fabric and blackened metals. The kitchen received an instant facelift by simply spraying the top half of the cabinets in a cool grey which the cloakroom was completely gutted and refitted with modern sanitary ware, new tiles, wallpaper & accessories. Upstairs all four bedrooms received gorgeous new colour palettes which the client absolutely loved plus new storage beds, wardrobes, lighting, furniture, bedding & accesories.
Airbnb makeover, Rhiwbina
A makeover and styling of a delightful Airbnb property located in the heart of Rhiwbina. New wall paint selection to freshen up the spaces and add some excitement. All the furniture was sourced in charity shops & antique markets - a complete mishmash of eras - from Victorian to Art Deco to Mid Century.
