Some homes hold decades of family memories - but over time, they begin to feel tired and in need of fresh energy. Our Blossom Drive Project was exactly that: a much-loved home, untouched for over 30 years, that our clients wanted to revive while staying in the neighbourhood they cherished.

The Brief

When we first met, the brief was open. The family knew they wanted to breathe new life into their home, but they weren’t sure of the direction. Through a series of thoughtful conversations, we uncovered their shared love of travel and distinctive boutique hotels - a passion that became the foundation for our design concept.

The Design Concept

The vision was to create a serene, sophisticated retreat that blended warmth, elegance, and worldly charm. We layered neutral foundations with subtle accents of mustard yellow, while rich textures - walnut, marble, brass, and blackened metal — added depth and a sense of timeless character.

The Transformation

  • Living & Dining Areas: These spaces were softened with a warm, neutral palette and enlivened with curated pops of colour. Luxurious materials introduced texture and interest, balancing comfort with sophistication.

  • Kitchen: Sometimes the simplest changes make the biggest impact. A respray of the upper cabinetry in a cool grey gave the kitchen a fresh lease of life, complementing the existing joinery while updating the look.

  • Cloakroom: This small but important space was completely transformed with new tiles, statement wallpaper, and contemporary fixtures — setting the tone for guests as they enter the home.

  • Bedrooms: Each of the four bedrooms was reimagined with its own personality. Fresh colour palettes, new furniture, and carefully chosen accessories created calm, inviting sanctuaries that reflect the family’s story and lifestyle.

The Result

The Blossom Drive Project is a home that now feels elegant, welcoming, and uniquely personal — a place where past memories are honoured, while new ones can be made. It’s a wonderful example of how design can refresh not just a house, but the way a family experiences everyday life.
