BLOSSOM DRIVE HOME
This full design and project management commission saw a long-standing family home, untouched for over 30 years, transformed into a serene, sophisticated retreat. The brief was open, with the clients unsure of their direction but certain they wished to stay in the area and refresh their much-loved home.
Through thoughtful conversations, we uncovered their love of travel and distinctive hotels, shaping a design concept that blended warmth, elegance, and worldly charm. The living and dining areas were softened with neutral tones and splashes of mustard yellow, while rich textures - walnut, marble, brass, and blackened metal — added depth and character.
The kitchen was revived with a simple respray of the upper cabinetry in a cool grey, while the cloakroom was completely refitted with new tiles, wallpaper, and contemporary fixtures. Upstairs, each of the four bedrooms was restyled with fresh colour palettes, new furniture, and carefully curated accessories, creating calm, inviting spaces that reflect the family’s story.

"What the Client had to say...
We would like to thank Kate of Khaya Studio for the interior design of our four bedrooms, lounge and dining room, kitchen and foyer including porch. She designed and project managed throughout the 10 week delivery programme in such a way that all disciplines had hassle less interfacing carrying out their scope of works.
Since the works completed in November 2021, we have had a number of relatives and friends who have commented that who ever did the interior design and delivery must be an expert and very experienced.
The excellent service provided, we would recommend to any one who would like to change their house and make it feel like a home with minimum hassle and within a budget you can afford."
