What Is a Discovery Call?

For many people, working with an interior designer is something you’ll only do once or twice in your lifetime. It’s a very personal service - after all, your home is where your life happens - so it’s natural to have questions about how the process works and what to expect.
That’s where a discovery call comes in.
What Is a Discovery Call?
A discovery call is simply an initial, no-obligation chat between us. It’s a relaxed conversation where we can get to know each other, talk through your project, and explore whether I’d be the right interior designer for you.
During the call, I’ll take you through how I usually work with clients - from design concepts to implementation - and answer any questions you may have. The aim is to give you a clear idea of what the journey would look like if we decided to work together.
Why Is It Important?
Every interior designer works a little differently, and every client has their own needs and preferences. The discovery call is a chance to:
Understand the design process in simple, clear steps.
Ask questions about timelines, costs, and what’s possible for your space.
Get a feel for whether we “click” - because great design is always a collaboration.
No Pressure, Just a Conversation
It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and under no pressure. The discovery call isn’t about a sales pitch — it’s about creating space for an open, honest discussion at a time that suits you. You should come away feeling informed, supported, and excited about the possibilities for your home.
Ready to Book a Discovery Call?
If you’re thinking about redesigning or renovating your home - whether it’s a Victorian terrace in Bristol, a Georgian townhouse in Bath, or a country property in Somerset - a discovery call is the perfect first step.
✨ You can schedule a call through my website, and I’d be delighted to talk with you about your project.
