“From start to finish, Kate was a total professional. We gave her a rather difficult brief as our Georgian period Bath dining room was subterranean but she stepped up to the challenge and the end result is a total transformation. It is light-filled and now feels like a warm and cozy space for entertaining and family meals - we are so pleased with the end result!
Kate is friendly and approachable, and was willing to pivot when some of our plans changed mid-design. She offers a cadre of professional tradesman who did their jobs impeccably, and on schedule. We would not hesitate to recommend Kate to other Bath home-owners in need of interior design assistance.”

“If you want to make your dreams come true…..
Call Kate.
I needed to update my living room but was overwhelmed by all the decisions to be made .
After a few consultations with Kate we decided on a colour scheme and on the look I wanted to achieve, then she managed the entire project.
She provided a mood board and then ordered all the furniture and accessories and contacted all the trades required. At the same time she provided me with regular updates.
All the trades people she uses are excellent and once the installation started it was completed in a week .Kate is Amazing and I would definitely recommend her.”

"Kate delivered us a gobsmackingly incredible service - and the final installation on our living room, listening room and hallway blew us away.
Kate is a top class interior designer - and we will absolutely be calling on her expertise again as we reno through other parts of our house in the future."

“We are absolutely delighted with the work from Kate, who has to be described as Bristol’s best interior designer. Kate specialises in bespoke contemporary interior design and her ability to blend modern style with the unique character of period properties is outstanding. From the very first meeting, Kate listened carefully to our ideas and created a design that felt truly personal and beautifully executed.
Kate provided us with time scales and liaised with all the relevant trades people we required. This was particularly helpful as with a busy work schedule, it is often difficult to get the time to ensure works happen when they should.
Kate’s attention to detail, creative vision, and professionalism made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a Bristol-based interior designer who delivers high-quality, bespoke tailored designs and respects the charm of older homes, I highly recommend choosing Kate. A fantastic experience from start to finish!”

“Kate helped us with the interior design of our house following extensive building work. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. Her contributions took our house to the next level and gave many rooms the “wow factor”. We particularly appreciated Kate’s flexible way of working, adapting what she brings to the client’s needs.
She can take on the full design of a room or take a more advisory role when the client prefers to take the lead. At all points, she really took on board our needs and preferences and came up with a proposition that truly reflected what we wanted. We very much hope to continue to work with Kate in the future and could not recommend her enough.”

"Kate helped us to choose a colour for our gloomy hallway. She was able to help us visualise what we wanted the hallway to look like as well as helping with paint colours in other rooms in our house.
She really listened to us and helped us to think about how we wanted our house to feel as a whole rather than room by room decoration. I cannot recommend Kate enough."

"Kate worked with me on refurbishing my Victorian flat in Richmond. She was great to work with, responsive and imaginative. She made excellent choices for paint colours, carpet, wood flooring and tiles, that complemented the flat.
She worked quickly to help me meet a deadline, and went above and beyond in researching options. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her services again in the future."

"Kate is amazing! She prepared our house top to bottom, craftspeople, lighting, curtains, small decoration details and even bedsheets.
We were in Brazil and we literally walked into a house we have never been in before, all set up for us. I’m so grateful. She is organised, down to earth, friendly and very helpful."

"The ideas and designs that Kate provided were instrumental in deciding how best to renovate my house. The way she showed how the the living areas could use walls, particular furniture, light and specific appliances really helped me consider the options that would work best. I’m an accountant so not having the skill set to properly understand the options was limiting.
Kate really opened my eyes to the possibilities and I’ve ended up in a much better place. Highly recommend!"

"By hiring Kate we finally committed to tackle a project, i.e. improving our study, storeroom and damp utility, which we had kept procrastinating on. Her design suggestions made overwhelming choices manageable and helped us identify what was important to us.
At the end of the project the spaces were truly transformed and we would approach her again for staging our house for sale."

"Kate gave me some great advice on how to approach an awkwardly shaped, north facing bedroom. This included furniture placement, warming colours, how to draw more light into the room, and other ways to trick the eye into seeing the space differently.
I had spent months thinking about how to deal with these issues, yet in minutes Kate gave me solutions I’d not considered. Approachable and professional I’d definitely recommend."

"We would like to thank Kate of Khaya Studio for the interior design of our four bedrooms, lounge and dining room, kitchen and foyer including porch. She designed and project managed throughout the 10 week delivery programme in such a way that all disciplines had hassle less interfacing carrying out their scope of works.
Since the works completed in November 2021, we have had a number of relatives and friends who have commented that who ever did the interior design and delivery must be an expert and very experienced.
The excellent service provided, we would recommend to any one who would like to change their house and make it feel like a home with minimum hassle and within a budget you can afford."

"I found the process of working with Khaya very inspiring. I had my own ideas for my home but with Kate's resources and input the whole project became far more interesting.
I would recommend highly. Respecting the environment is important to me and Khaya are in line with my thinking."

"I would highly recommend Khaya Interior Design. We had recently fully renovated and extended our Victorian property but had not given much thought as to how to actually use the spaces once completed. Khaya gave the rooms purpose and made them function seamlessly into our lifestyles. They worked closely with us in order to bring our personalities into the home and make it feel our own. They were instrumental in helping us choose colourings, floor finishes, lighting, artwork and furniture.
The eclectic mix of antique and new furniture is exactly the look we were striving to achieve but couldn't have found without Kate's expertise and hands-on approach. Being time poor, it was also important that the project moved quickly and was managed efficiently which Khaya always ensured - minimising the impact upon daily lives."

"Khaya Studio helped us to bring our ideas to life. Given we were making structural changes to our living area we thought it would be best to make sure that we had a professional eye cast over our ideas. We were so glad that we did! With some small (but impactful) suggestions we will be able to create a beautiful living area."
